As this is the 100^th anniversary of the start of World War I (or the First World War as we Brits called it), I thought I would attempt to read the fiction books in my library that feature that conflict. 

Some I have read, such as A Farewell to Arms, Flanders, All Quiet on the Western Front and Johnny Got His Gun. Others have just been sitting there on the shelves, waiting…
